Abdate - Teachers' Day

Last Friday was Teachers' Day in our school and every year, the form six students are in charged of organizing the whole thing. I wasn't put in-charge of anything because I missed all the meetings (for some personal reasons I should not mention) so I was kind of free-and-easy before the event.

Until I had a crazy brainzap and decided that I should step up and do something about the form six performance. Every year the organizing committee has to come up with a simple item for the teachers. Last year the seniors sang a song and mime. I was assuming that all of us would be dragged on stage to do the exact same thing this year. And I don't want to. That was how I sort of volunteered to .... do a dance -.-

Yes I am that crazy. Must be the Burger King I had the night before.

AND THEN COMES THE HEADACHE. The song. The dance moves. The students. MY WORRIES. I am not exactly the calmest person on Earth, in fact I always over think stuff. I over think too much. In a very negative way. How many students are going to show up? Will the teachers like it? Will the entire form six hate me if I blew up this whole performance? Am I going to put the whole form six into shame? Will I be laughed at by the juniors?

I had one week. ONE WEEK. Less than 10 hours of practice. To get everything ready. My friend and I made the dance moves as easy as possible so that whoever wants to join in CAN join in. Some of the ideas were replaced by last minute decisions. Sacrifice, yes. All of us sacrificed.

After all that chaos, the three minutes we had on stage was a blast. There were hits and misses, but overall it was fine and truly a moment that we (okay maybe just me) can keep forever.

So here I say a huge THANK YOU! to those who performed. Thank you Douglas who helped me with the moves, to Tabitha who helped me think of different ideas and for assisting me in this whole thing. Thank you Mei Ling who calmed me down when I almost banged my head on the walls of the stage T___T Thank youuuuuu and you and you and you and you. Yes. You know who you are. Thank you Jesus for standing beside me.

Glad that the teachers liked it as well :D YAY!

The haze in KK is getting worse and I can smell smoke almost everywhere I go =___= EVEN IN MY ROOM. My aunt in KL  sent a message in our group chat this morning telling us that she found a dead bat on her garbage bin. It's so sad to know that we humans who caused the whole haze problem can sit comfortably in our shelter while the animals and plants have to suffer AND DIE T______T No, I am not an animal lover, but I still have a heart.

At least one that cares more about the trees and birds than money.

Flower Boy Next Door

No I have no handsome neighbours TT_____TT

Spent my second (and last) week of my holidays watching another Korean drama. My parents would probably be very disappointed if they knew (well actually they DO know) I spent most of my time glued to the computer screen watching this. But then, it's my way of releasing that half a year of horrid stress. I have not watched any Korean dramas during the entire STPM Semester 2. That is, not a joke. So this is my way of payback hahahaha

The drama is called Flower Boy Next Door. I guess it's another installment to TVN's Flower Boy series. Previous dramas include the very funny Flower Boy Ramen Shop and also the very cool Shut Up! Flower Boy Band.

Now tell me, which hormone-raging girl can stop herself from watching dramas that include several hot guys? HAHAHAHA not me.

Flower Boy Next Door stars KIM TAKGU!! Okay his real name is actually Yoon Si Yoon :D but whatever. I always refer to him as Kim Takgu because of the drama Love, Bread and Dreams. He is also on a variety show called Barefoot Friends which is very, very entertaining I cannot stop laughing every time I watch.

In fact, his gestures and comments are so funny and memorable in Barefoot Friends I CANNOT GET THEM OUT OF MY HEAD. And when I watch him playing a serious scene in FBND I end up laughing because I remember him doing the ugly ah-pek dance in the variety show =_____=

Yes it's a spoiler HAHAHAHA

The female lead is Park Shin Hye, of which I kind of like since You've Fallen for Me. I love her character in this drama! And I like her room too hehehe full of books and not to mention, she sleeps in a sleeping bag in the drama lol

Yoon Si Yoon and Park Shin Hye lalalala

So the story is about Go Dong Mi (Park Shin Hye) finding her way to step out from her fears of the outside world with help from Enrinque Geum (Yoon Si Yoon). Go Dong Mi basically locks herself up in her room and doesn't like human interaction ... at all. She is also very frugal because she doesn't turn on the heater in her room (even in winter) and have many ways to save on water/electricity bills. Because of her mysteriousness, she attracted attention from her neighbour living in the same apartment, Jin Lak who is played by Kim Ji Hoon. And this Jin Lak dude stalked her for three years HAHAHA and actually had feelings for her but never confessed.

This guy!

Go Dong Mi is also a stalker HAHAHA not in a bad way. She always peeps through her window and watches the person opposite her apartment. This is kind of cool hahaha because the guy never found out and I think it would be quite a thrill to stalk someone like that. Not that I'm going to do it but... it sounds/looks fun! Her stalking act was actually stopped by Enrique Geum when he moved into that apartment (the owner is his cousin brother)

The drama reveals how Go Dong Mi slowly learns how to interact with others and not to be so afraid of meeting people, and viewers also find out why she locked herself up in the first place. The rest of the drama is Yoon Si Yoon making funny noises and acting cute in front of both men, and Park Shin Hye. HAHAHAHA

The storyline is nothing to boast about. I guess the front few episodes were very interesting and I had heaps of curiosity. The last few episodes were mostly fillers, but with many fascinating metaphores and monologues (this sounds like literature class HAHAHA). So I can say that it wasn't boring for me because I liked the way the script was written but it can be boring to some. The ending was not lousy, but it could be better. The reason I like this drama is because of the settings, and how the entire cast is so compatible with each other. It really feels like as if these neighbours (in the drama) are actually a real family.

I rate this drama a 6/10 :) because it didn't surpass my expectations :( I liked both previous installments of the Flower Boy series so I had high hopes for this one. I guess it's true when they say that with great hopes come great disappointments HAHAHA

So that is all from me! Kind of happy that I managed to watch 2 dramas during the holidays. Could have watched more but I also wanted to do some other stuff instead of the catching up! School starts tomorrow and I am .... I DON'T WANNA GO TO SCHOOOOOOOOOOL!!!! *SAD FACE*

Abdate - Of things fast, and furious.

Let's welcome back the Abdate installments!! Wah not shameful ah Abby? You missed last week's abdate though you had tons of time to write one *starts fiddling*

I am verrrrrry sorry but last week I was uhh.. I was....

Busy doing.... Online shopping *hides face*

Yes but I am back this week!! Muahahahahaha

So today's a Wednesday and my parents brought me to watch Fast and Furious 6. ( I sound like a six-year-old now hahaha but I really did follow them) 6 shows in the whole franchise but it's my first time watching F&F in the cinemas! In fact, this is the second one I watched *hides face again* First one was the Tokyo Drift one hehehe ancient that one.

Very good show I have to say but tons of nice cars were sacrificed HAHAHA okay I can't give a proper review as I have only watched 2 out of the 6 shows. I have no right to comment. But I do have to say that the stunts are nicely done.

After the show, we went to have our dinner (at 9.00pm) at a Bak Kut Teh shop in Gaya Street. Dinner was normal, until I met an ex school member. Same year, different classes back when we were in secondary school. Now not studying I suppose, she was working as a tour guide just now.
And it got me thinking..

Those of whom I were friends with, whether in preschool or primary school, or even my classmates two years ago. How are they? What are they doing? Are they still studying, chasing their dreams? Or are they making ends meet? Working at late hours so that they could have a warm supper? Are they still here or somewhere overseas?

At times like this I feel so small and selfish. I have things that some may covet. I can go to school, have dinner with my family and hang out with my friends. I can so most of the things I want to do. And at most times, I am happy.

But yet I still constantly complain. About how unfair life is. About how I didn't get scholarships, about how I am still stuck here in KK, having no shopping mall to visit anymore because I stepped foot in all of them in one week.

I hope seeing that girl would change me. Change the way on how I see my life. Yes, we can all say that life is unfair. They ride in big cars, they have the latest gadgets, they get to study in an advanced foundation programme. But what about the others? Those who didn't qualify for form six and have no money for private colleges, those who work in bars, those who sit at home staring at the ceiling fan.

Now it's kind of unfair to say that life is unfair. You have things that others don't have. You might not have things that some people have, but it may not be such a bad thing.

After all, nothing beats living a life that God has paved for you. Sometimes you may feel down, you feel like banging your head on your concrete wall. You can be emo sometimes, you can be frustrated. But never forget to trust in God's plan for you. For it is the best of the best.

The only way.
