It's a Korean Thriller released last year while I was preparing for my SPM. It wasn't shown in Malaysian cinemas either so I had to put it on my waiting list. Shnwei downloaded it the other day so I copied the file from her. (:

I'm going to spoil it for you and tell you the whole story. As my story-telling is pretty boring and you might fall asleep halfway, I suggest you watch the movie after reading this.

The story begins as the starring, Min Ah (played by Kim Ha Nuel) and the brother got into a car crash. Her brother died while she survived, but tragically losing her ability to see light. Her impairment didn't slow her down. She lived alone with her dog, Seul Ki and didn't really depend on others. That's what I like about her, she's independent.

One day Min Ah got onto a 'cab' in the midst of a heavy rain. The 'cab' then accidentally hit something that sent a loud thud and stopped the vehicle. Min Ah suspected that they hit a human being but the 'cab driver' insisted that it was just a dog. She escaped from the 'cab driver' and went to the police. The police didn't believe her as she was only able to judge things based on her other senses, but not her sight. But then she wow-ed Inspector Cho, who was in charge of this case with her ability to 'see' not just with eyes, but with heart. Min Ah was not the only witness to the murder, a youngster called Gi Sub (played by Yoo Seung Ho) was also at the scene.

The 'cab driver' soon turned out to be a serial killer. He pretended to be a cab driver and during the ride, he forced Min Ah to drink a bottle of coffee that he handed over to her. =O The coffee was not original coffee, it was mixed with Propofol! He realised that Min Ah and Gi Sub witness what crime he done so after the incident, he called Min Ah to warn her, as well as Gi Sub not to speak of it, or else he would go after them.

Before Min Ah got into the accident with her brother, she was going to be a police officer. She didn't back down easily after the phone call. She quickly called Inspector Cho, who didn't answer his phone. She then contacted Gi Sub and even went to where he was. She tried to warn Gi Sub but rebellious as he is, he didn't listen.

While Min Ah was going onto the underground train, Gi Sub saw a man following her from behind. He quickly came to his senses that her warning was right. He called Min Ah and helped her to get away from the guy. (This is the most touching and thrilling part of the show I was crying and scared and shouting 'fast fast fast') Due to her visual impairment, Gi Sub helped her escape using her video phone. Min Ah got away, thanks to her faithdul dog, Seul Ki, who sacrificed his life to save his master.

After Seul Ki, Inspector Cho died too. He was killed by the serial killer at the second he found out that he was the culprit. The serial killer inposted as Inspector Cho and contacted Min Ah and Gi Sub, who were staying in House of Hope, the orphanage that Min Ah's mother was in charged of.

Min Ah and Gi Sub fought their way through the serial killer, through blood and more blood. Min Ah managed to knock down the serial killer with a brick. The police came, show's over. Both Min Ah and Gi Sub were lying on the ground outside the orphanage, trying to keep themselves alive.

I try to avoid watching thrillers mostof them time because I'm afraid that I couldn't go to sleep at night. Although I enjoy the tension and the suspense, my brain doesn't function to receive it as well as I thought it would. Often I would not be able to go to bed because scenes from the film will keep repeating in my brain.

Confession: I watched this film not because it was a thriller, not because I like the starring of the film, nor because of the dog. I watched it because 2PM's songs were chosen as their soundtracks. HAHAHAHA They have good taste though, and I do not regret because it's a great movie!

Kim Ha Neul who plays Min Ah.

Yoo Seung Ho aka Gi Sub
Okay he looked familiar to me and I didn't know who he was until I Googled! He's the guy in Warrior Baek Dong Soo LOL I like his hair

What we do best on CNY

Chinese New Year is the time when...

Chinese New Year day 1 routine: Wake up, get dressed, take family photo, get angpau from ma and pa. After getting ready at home, we head down to gather with the rest of the family from pa's side at my uncle's place. We have the traditional 'zai choi' there, have long chats, and watch Sabah Hakka IpMan part 2. LMAO. Everyone was hooked after part one so we ended up watching the video on the Ipads! We (Okay, maybe it was just my mom) also tried to beat my cousin's high score on Tired Birds.

After that, we went to visit my aunt's brother's house. My brother and I go there almost every year for the food. hehehe. Oh, and the lion dance. We just stay at home at night, usually. If not we'll go to my grandparents' place to slack =)

Day 2 is the time when we get busy!! Kung had open house so all of us had to help around. He invited his golf mates, family and close family friends, not forgetting the neighbours!!

Pictures =)
Every year po and my aunts prepare the food but this year they were lazy so we ordered catering from the hut.

It was yummy but I miss our home cooked food!

My cousins who came back from Adelaide, and their parents =)

My cousin uncles & aunts.

3 pretty mamas.
The ones at the side are my aunts while the one at the centre is a close friend of my aunt.

I was shocked when I saw him coming in I tell you! Apparently his father knows kung so that's why they were invited. He's going off for further studies so I took a picture with him for remembrance! lmao He's my primary school friend and we go to the same church so all the best in his studies!!

My cute cousin =D

So after all the curry and prawn and noodles were wanted to do some exercise! The unhealthy way....
And the day ended like this.

*I had to work on day 3, 4 and 5 and 6 so I didn't really do much eating.

On Saturday (which is also day 6 of CNY) I went over Marie's house for open house (obvious much). More pictures but I didn't take any of the food because I was too hungry!

Pictureka has become our tradition!! hahahaha

Look at the people playing! I think they were trying to read the order cards HAHAHA
Oh I also taught them to play 21 the pro way -.-

After that we took a bunch load of pictures in Marie's room. Oh yeah we blasted my Instax Mini too!!
(I call my Instax Mini - Patrick)

I brought pa's Panasonic GF 2 and I didn't really know it functions so this picture was not properly focused LOL

Yeah so we just fooled around in the room. There was this moment when Audrey, Shnwei and Siaw decided to get their butt pictures taken so I asked them to shake their butt. So I managed to snap a picture of Shnwei's then someone blurted out, 'Siaw, your turn'.

Then Siaw gave a short pause, and then she shaked her butt!!! LOL It was so funny I forgot to take the picture. We were all rolling on the bed laughing HAHAHAHAHA

Butt-shaking process!

So after we were done with our little photoshoot, Aly and Shnwei left the house. Aly was going back to Negeri Sembilan again and this time we too didn't say a proper goodbye! The rest of us continued with the pictures!

We got bored of ourselves so we attacked two innocent little kids HAHAHA
They're not really innocent lah lol.
Beaven & Atai who were forced to pose for the camerawoman

On Sunday I went out with Adele and Liana. It was Liana's birthday so she spent us lunch and Starbucks. She finally put her Instax Mini in use. hehehehe

And that's a rap!

Additional picture (:
Taken in Huang's house the other day. It was a pre-CNY Barbeque party.

FYI I almost got put off work because they didn't really need that much staff already but today I dropped by the office to get my cheque (less than what I expected so I was unhappy, for a while) I asked the boss whether I'm still working for them so she said she'll call me tomorrow. To my surprise she called me just now to explain to me why my pay was less (it was because of EPF and Socso or something so yeah, it was cut by a few percent) and that I could still continue work! I have been uneasy these few days knowing that I would be fired but I'm not! Although I was comforting myself, telling myself that I need not stand 8 hours a day anymore blah blah blah but I cannot fool myself lah. I could never survive staying at home 24/7 while getting no pay! And I couldn't stand the fact that someone would actually fire me. I work hard okay. So I'm awaiting another call from the supervisor to tell me my next shift!

Year after high school

It's my off day from work today! Okay not exactly. I only have to work 3 days a week so I have 4 days off and today is one of them. Am going to do a little Chinese New Year shopping today. Hopefully I'll manage to buy some shoes and clothes, but I do have a budget. A tight one. I have already started spending money before I get my first salary. Shame on you, Abby!

Since I started work I viewed the world from a whole new perspective. While I was preparing for my SPM a lot of adults that came up to talk with me always said, 'enjoy your student life', 'it's easy being a student', 'aww..I wish I can go back to high school'. Every time this happens, I'll give them the glare and whisper under my breath, 'easy for you to say you don't have to memorise which is the femur and what type of vitamin prevents colour blindness'. I always thought that life as a student was hard. We had to get up early morning, drag ourselves up to our classrooms on the third floor, listen to boring classes and as we arrive home, we start to finish our pile of homework. Apart from school we have to juggle house chores, sports and piano lessons. Life couldn't get any worse?

It was not until 2 weeks ago that I realised that being a kid was so much fun. I also found out that being an adult wasn't that much fun at all. I remember when I was a kid I wished that I can have 3 birthdays a year so that I can quickly reach 21 and be a true adult. hahaha. Now I wish to have a birthday every 3 years so that I'll age slower. Right, that will never happen.

The first few days of work was tough. I work in a shop selling cosmetics and my daily routine includes cleaning the products on the display shelves, cleaning the shelves, cleaning the testers, serving the customers, and studying the products in the shop. Before entering 'the life as a salesgirl', I always thought that being a salesgirl is easy. You just have to stand there and talk to the customers, sell your products. But little did I know what great effort these salesgirls put into their job. They understand the brand, the products; they treat their workplace as their home, their co-workers like their family; they try to sell the suitable products to customers, and forgive those to spill liquid eyeliner on the counter. It's not just standing there and selling products, it's a duty to present yourself, the shop, and the brand to others. Seeing the effort that my co-workers put in their work made me feel like all this while, I have been truly blessed.

It is then I understood, that being little is easy, and growing up is also easy. But being a grown-up isn't at all easy, there are more challenges ahead than you expected. Right now I don't know how tough it is for me in the future, to make a living and raise a family. I had a little taste of it during my 2 weeks of work, and I already feel the pressure. I thought of quitting just 2 days after I started working. *Wow I sound like a damsel in distress EWW

What I'm trying to say is, I NEED TO GO BACK TO STUDY.

The first post

Hello once again (:

As I am (almost) 18, I have decided to start a new blog. Don't get me wrong, I really like the old one, but I think it is time for me to move on and write things that are more... mature? Yes, less childish. hahaha.

I think it is time for me to set apart the new and the old. I started blogging when I was just 13. I remember that I was being pestered by my friend to start a blog, I was really reluctant then but throughout the years I have posted many things, from my daily ups and downs to my favourite movies. Little did I know that my blog helped me keep track of my years in secondary school.

So I am going to start from scratch. This, after all, is me taking my first step in the new chapter of my life.

I am going to start with an introduction about myself. (WOW I sound so serious LOL)

Hi. You can call me Abby. I am known in the cyber world as iiyee, a name that I came up with while playing around with my chinese name. I am eighteen this year, I was born around Spring. I live in an amazing place called Sabah. It's located on an island called Borneo, home of the rainforests and orangutans. For the time being I am working as a part-time staff in Tony Moly, Suria Sabah. I haven't decided on what course I would like to take up in college. I haven't decided on whether or not I should continue my studies in the sixth form. I am pretty much stuck between choices right now, but I'll figure it out, just in time.

I love Jesus, my saviour and my best friend. I am blessed with the best family in the world, and the most crazy but yet loving friends. I am sad to say that I am still single, indeed. I haven't found that Prince Charming.

I look forward to the days of my future, and hopefully I'll succeed.
